Click here DYING WITH CHRIST, LIVING WITH HOPE - Join CMDA Canada for a three-week online program exploring Christian hope in the face of suffering, grief, dying, and end-of-life care. Led by theologians and Christian healthcare professionals, this series includes video presentations, personal reflection, and small-group discussion. Participants will also be equipped to bring the program to their own communities, parishes, churches, and ministry settings. Summer 2026 online sessions are available in August (Mondays, Aug. 10, 17, and 24 at 1:00 p.m.) and September (Thursdays, Sept. 10, 17, and 24 at 8:00 p.m.). Questions? FRANCIS OF ASSISI SHRINE SUNDAY PILGRIMAGE - Sunday, August 9th at 413 Upper Skiff Lake Road, Skiff Lake, NB. Mass and Healing Service will be celebrated by our Bishop, Most Rev. Christian Riesbeck. Rain or shine, bring your own lawn chair. In this special Jubilee year of Saint Francis, a plenary indulgence is available to those who prayerfully attend the Pilgrimage to Skiff Lake under the usual conditions—sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, prayer for the Pope’s intentions, and sincere detachment from sin. The elderly, sick, and homebound who are unable to attend the Pilgrimage in person may receive this indulgence by spiritually uniting themselves to the celebrations and offering their prayers and sufferings in a spirit of peace on that day. SAVE THE DATE - 4th Annual High School Youth Rally - All high school youth are invited to attend a diocesan Youth Rally on Sunday, August 16th, from 12:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Villa Madonna Retreat House. The day will include inspiring talks, small group discussions, food, fun, and Mass with Bishop Christian. Mark your calendars and plan to be part of this joyful gathering of faith, friendship, and community. HEALING MASS AT THE CATHEDRAL - The next Monthly Mass with Prayers for Healing will be Thursday August 20th at 7:00 p.m. This is open to all who would like to receive prayer for any illness be it physical, emotional and spiritual. The Sacrament of Reconciliation and Prayer Ministry will be available. VOLUNTEER FOR GIVING CATHEDRAL TOURS – The Port of Saint John’s Cruise ship season is nigh! This September-November, the Cathedral is looking to provide tours during cruise days (11:00 a.m. and/or 2:00 p.m.) for tourists and locals alike, to showcase the beauty and history of this monumental worship site, to evangelize, and, the diocese hopes, to receive donations for the Cathedral Restoration project. Perhaps you have the charisma of hospitality. If you are interested in being a member of this team of tour guides, the first meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 19th.
