Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) – The Conclave began today. Last week, the College of Cardinals invited the faithful to pray for them during this Conclave. There are many meaningful ways to pray. One may chose to pray daily the ancient hymn “Come, O Creator Spirit” (see page six of this bulletin), which echoes the Apostles’ prayerful anticipation after Christ’s Ascension. Alternatively, one could pray the beautiful Collect from the Mass for the Election of a Pope:
“O God, Eternal Shepherd, who govern your flock with unfailing care, grant in your boundless fatherly love a pastor for your Church who will please you by his holiness and to us show watchful care.”
With the support of your prayers, may God’s will be accomplished.
Invitation from the President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, The Most Rev. William T. McGrattan, Bishop of Calgary, to all the Catholic Faithful in Canada on the Occasion of the Conclave to Elect the 267th Success of Saint Peter
