WEEKLY PRAYER INTENTIONS:
Prayer of the Faithful
28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
October 12 & 13, 2024 Year: B
The promise of Wisdom is understanding; a light to guide us. The promise of following Jesus is eternal life. With Jesus and wisdom guiding us, we can all be part of God's abundant harvest; symbol of God's love for us.
Help us live in love, peace and gratitude and with generosity to our neighbour.
RESPONSE: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.
For all God's people open to responding to the call of Jesus.
We pray: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.
For any made homeless or refugee, struggling with poverty or acceptance.
We pray: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.
For everyone gathered here, each of us called to recognize God among us.
We pray: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.
For the sick, whether it be in body, mind, or spirit.
We pray: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.
For loved ones, gone before us, all knowing now true rest and peace in
God's everlasting love. We especially remember Theresa Frontin, mother of Sheila Sharkey.
We pray: Give us wisdom and strength to serve.

The Lord is good to those who hope in him, to the soul that seeks him. “Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”
RESPONSE: Lord, hear our prayer.
For the Church, instrument of God’s healing.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For a shared mission: we pray that the Church continue to sustain in all ways a Synodal lifestyle, as a sign of co-responsibility, promoting the participation, the communion, and the mission shared among priests, religious and lay people.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For corporate and political leaders who have the power to promote peace.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For healing for all victims of abuse and violence.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For the community of faith gathered here today.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For the sick and suffering, and for those who care for them.
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
For all parted in death now knowing the joy of eternal life. We especially remember Father Kevin Barry
We pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
~~We are invited to pray for the Holy Father and all those involved in this historic journey of healing, reconciliation and hope.~~

MINISTRIES:
LITURGY
LAY PRESIDERS:
Parishioners who lead the Assembly in prayer, chosen for their dedication to direct the celebration and to co-ordinate the companion ministries involved. Their sense of servanthood sets the mood, which is the basis for all genuine lay presiding.
LITURGY PREPARATION TEAM:
The team works to involve parishioners in both immediate and long-range ways... so learning and enjoyment are ongoing.
For more information contact Sandra McNeill 847-3611.
COMPOSING PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL:
This entails writing for the assembly, 3 or 4 times per year, those prayers that reflect the needs of the world and the parish community. Using the book At Home With The Word and following a "formula" for the prayers, the composer writes from his or her prospective with those prayers to which the assembly will respond.
For more information contact the parish at [email protected].
