VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR 2016!
On Canada Day, one of our faithful parishioners, Louise McKee received the “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Town of Hampton.
She exemplifies the true unsung hero. She is on the Board of Directors for the Hampton Food Basket, and works tirelessly preparing food for clients, and also helps distribute on a monthly basis. She delivers Meals on Wheels to shut-ins, is involved in many ministries here at St. Alphonsus, and works with Alternative Measures in conjunction with the RCMP, and the Department of Justice.
Not only does she do all of the above, she will often deliver food and visit people who are not feeling up to par.
A very busy person…who never looks for anything in return. A truly remarkable lady and a special blessing to her mother, Jean.
Congratulations on a well deserved recognition!
